Cranberry sauce is something that I thought would be kind of tricky to make from scratch but I have learned from this recipe that it isn’t tricky at all! In fact, it was the easiest and quickest thing on my Thanksgiving menu this year! It was easy and tasted so much better than its store bought counterpart. Which is kind of saying a lot because I have always loved canned cranberry sauce. I never thought it was gross or that I NEEDED to make it homemade, I just wanted to try making it from scratch. Turns out, I improved on an already good thing!
I have found in year’s past with canned cranberry sauce that it was either a bit too sweet (something too sweet for Amanda? Impossible!) or too tart for my liking. I love that by making my own cranberry sauce, I am able to control the sweetness and tartness. Another huge plus is that cooking this will make your house smell amazing while cooking and long after.
I’m going to keep my words here short and sweet, just like this recipe! It was tasty, extremely quick and easy to make and way better than the stuff you can purchase in a can. Also, this is one of those recipes that you’ll get so many compliments on for making something so tasty from scratch but make you snicker to yourself because you know how simple it was to make. Give it a try with my tips below!
