I can’t even tell you how much I love apple crumble. There’s just something about the warm gooey apples mixed with crunchy crumble topping that makes my mouth very, very happy. And it works out nicely because it’s my guy’s favorite dessert! He could never get sick of me making it!
Though not the only things to make Easter special, the colors and delicious sweet treats sure do make me love Easter that much more! Today I present to you 10 of the most delicious and easy to make Easter treats! I swear, these are all super easy!
Pinterest is full of gorgeous treats that look like only a professionally pastry chef could pull off but I promise, you can make these beauties! And everyone will be so impressed with your creativity.
Let me preface this post by saying that these cookies will not do the trick if you’re dealing with a crisis. If you’re going through a break-up or work drama or are having an indulgent girls night, DO NOT MAKE THESE COOKIES. These cookies are for after the break-up when you’re ready to pick yourself up and show him what he’s missing and get in the best shape of your life! I’m going to be honest and tell you that I don’t eat these but rather make them for my boyfriend and he enjoys them. He works out and wants to make sure he’s getting in enough protein in the day. I don’t work out. I should start… But that’s neither here nor there!
I like this recipe because it’s super simple and quick to whip up. I also love that I’m able to make something for him with all ingredients I’m familiar with that he can eat in place of something packaged and full of preservatives. Plus, he enjoys them. Probably not quite as much as my gooey chocolate chip cookies, but he does like them!
Read on below for a great, healthy protein cookie recipe with my tweaks.
Okay. This pie is amazing. It has won awards for a reason, that’s for sure. It get points for being festive, (serve this alongside Pumpkin Pie at Thanksgiving and you’ll be crowned Queen of festive cooking!) unique, and delicious. This BACON pie is unexpected and extremely impressive to guests. Bacon is having a moment (my whole life is “bacon’s moment”) with the recipe world and you’re seeing it pop up in all sorts of sweet dishes but this is the first dish I’ve come across where bacon is the star rather than a subtle hint. Because pecan pie is already dense, the bacon works so well.
These maple sugar cookies will melt in your mouth. Not an ounce of crunch to these babies in the sweetest way possible. I’m not usually the biggest fan of sugar cookies because I just find them boring compared to all the other wonderful cookie options out there. However, the hint of maple flavor in the cookie and the maple icing drizzle make me put my best “self control skills” to the test.
They’re soft, chewy and have the most delicate maple flavor. The really nice thing is you can control the sweetness with how much icing you put on the cookies. My guy definitely has a sweet tooth but not for anything overly sweet so I left some without icing. And definitely made some with extra icing. I brought these to work and they were a big hit! Maple is such a comforting flavor and especially so with the leaves turning color & falling and lighting that first fire of the fall season.
This cake is a DREAM! It’s certainly sweet but not over powering. It’s light and fresh yet comforting which makes it a win all year ’round in my books. Plus, the ingredients are so cheap and easy to work with (hello, box cake mix). I whipped this up on a whim before I left for family dinner at my mom’s and decided last minute that I wanted to bring dessert. There’s a bit of dead time due to cooling but as far as how much time you actively spend on preparing this dish… It’s next to nothing. 15-20 minutes TOPS if you’re slow/good at cleaning while you go.
Not only is this dish convenient and easy to make, it was so darn delicious. I really, really wish I had some right now. It’s October right now and so I feel like I should be craving pumpkin/caramel/apple/maple everything but honestly, all I want is this Banana Pudding Poke Cake back in my life. I love the different textures that come from the dense cake, creamy pudding, fluffy whipped topping and crunchy wafers. Okay let’s get to my tweaks for the recipe because if I sing the praises of this recipe anymore, I may get in trouble for harassment. Good thing I’m my own HR Manager.
It’s the second most wonderful time of the year… Pumpkin time! Of course, the real most wonderful time of the year is when Santa comes to town but Pumpkin time comes in at a close second. What I have for you today is a round up of 12 of the most bomb pumpkin recipes out there. Go ahead… Put on Hocus Pocus, light a festive candle, and put on an orange apron because, my friends, the time has come!
Halloween isn’t my favorite Holiday because I’m not a fan being scared or ugly, creepy things. When I decorate for Halloween it’s with cute pumpkins, ghosts, glitter skulls and witches hats. I’m not a spider web/blood/skeleton kind of girl. But with that said, I still love to live seasonally, I just tweak it to suit my taste. So I like to make Halloween cute, not spooky. What’s cuter (or more delicious) than a witch’s hat cupcake made with an ice cream cone? Nothing! Except maybe a cupcake topped with a marshmallow ghost! Keep reading for more adorable Halloween cupcakes that are equally appropriate for your little monster’s Halloween party at school and your annual adults-only Halloween party. Both young and old will be thoroughly impressed with these Halloween cupcakes that look like they took a lot of effort but really are quite simple to make.
I’ve said this before and I can’t say it enough: I. Love. Fall. Even that and how dramatic I come across about it is an understatement. Heck, last week I even posted about the slow cooker recipes I’m most looking forward to making this Fall. Everyone knows it: Amanda loves fall. Everyone also knows: Amanda loves cupcakes! It’s with passion for caramel (carr-a-mel or car-mull?), apples, pumpkin, maple, pecan and the crisp fall air that I present to you the 10 most drool-worthy cupcake recipes I could find. These will be amazing for Halloween parties, your children’s bake sales, having guests over, Thanksgiving, Wednesday… You basically can’t go wrong here! See below for my round up.
As much as I love more refined and complex flavors, I think I’d have to say that my heart truly lies with simple classics. Simple classics such as Rice Krispie Squares! And cookie dough. Always cookie dough. Forever cookie dough. But today, we discuss the PERFECT Rice Krispie Treats! Rice Krispie Treats/Squares are stupid-easy, lickity-split-quick, and a universal favorite. This recipe isn’t changing the Rice Krispie Square game (although, I can’t WAIT to start playing around with spicing up the classic recipe) but rather, has a small method variation that makes all the difference.
