We’ve all heard the saying, “when you look good, you feel good.” I pretty much live by those words, and feel every woman should! Sometimes what we consider looking good takes more effort than we care to muster up and today’s world is much more casual than ever before. Exercise wear is worn outside of the gym, jeans are worn in places of worship, and messy top knots have become an actual hairstyle! Now I’m not against or above any of this. I’m definitely guilty of rocking workout leggings to the grocery store and I own an embarrassing amount of denim.
No matter your life situation, the inevitably of overwhelm is there. And I don’t know about you, but overwhelm and stress had pretty much always gone hand-in-hand for me. Do you ever find yourself with more on your plate than you have time for? Do you ever feel like you’re on the brink of having a freak out over the tiniest thing? More often then you’d care to admit? Are you desperate for ways to manage your overwhelm and de-stress?
In two days my blog traffic grew by about 900%. Yes. Nine hundred percent. All because I implemented two very easy things. Before I get into the particulars though, I want to give you a bit of background for all the newbies (like me!) out there who don’t quite yet grasp the importance of Pinterest. Let me tell you. This insane increase in blog traffic came on a day where not only did I not publish a new post, but I logged into my site at the end of the day to see this massive increase. What this means is that Pinterest traffic is passive. I know Pinterest traffic isn’t the only form of passive blog traffic but it’s MY only form of passive blog traffic at the moment and that means something. It means that if you’re not utilizing Pinterest to gain traction, you are missing out. Big time.
When you’re a new blogger like myself, there is so much information out there. So much so that I honestly got overwhelmed and discouraged by it for awhile. Now, I do recognize that to many bloggers (even the newbies), this isn’t new information. If you’ve spent any amount of time looking into growing your blog, Pinterest has certainly come up as a great marketing tool. I’m not here to act like I have something revolutionary to tell you that you’ve never heard before. I’m here to tell you that if you are at the point that I was at for so long of feeling overwhelmed by all the advice out there and you don’t know where to begin and what to focus your energy on… This is it. Pinterest marketing is where to begin and how to focus your time if you want to see an explosive blog traffic increase.

I love to go out for meals, cook, drink wine, budget (don’t laugh), try new health & fitness tips and work hard to make my space on on the internet the best it can be. I started this blog because I know I want to be a stay at home momma when that day comes. I want to be able to work for myself and stay home with my future kiddos and I knew I had to start now. Nothing comes easy and making legitimate money online sure supports that statement. But if that is something you’re interested in, please check out my “Blogging” section because I will share how I made it work.
Thanks so much for stopping by my neck of the internet. I’m so glad you did. 🙂
I believe that sharing is caring and that goes for sharing the good and sharing the bad so you don’t make my same mistakes!
I’m here to save you money, time, frustration, and to hopefully give you a laugh here and there through my failed attempts. I’m just your everyday, run of the mill, self-deprecating, woman documenting what truly works.
